Timings are as follows:
9-9.30 Arrivals.
9.45am Briefing for managers /coaches
10am play starts.
3pm Play finishes. Presentations 3.15pm.
Format:
8 aside teams , squad of up to 10.
Windballs / plastic bats
8 ball innings of 5 ball overs depending on time.
Pairs format – each pair batting for 2 overs
No balls & wides – 2 runs with no extra balls.
No LBW – wickets lost by being bowled, caught, hit wicket, run out ,stumped (5 runs lost)
Bowlers- everyone encouraged to bowl if possible / at least 6 bowlers and max 2 overs.
With 9 teams games will be played across 3 pitches and all teams will play 4 games across 2 round robin groups of 3, presuming we have no ‘drop-outs.’
Please can you ensure that you have people to umpire and score your games . Scoresheets will be provided.
The aim of the event is to provide fun, competitive games including all players in the game ; therefore, the format is suitable for players of all experience and engages new clubs in the competition.
